FAQs
-
Sealing protects your pavers from Florida’s harsh sun, heavy rain, and constant humidity. It helps prevent fading, staining, mold growth, and joint sand erosion — while enhancing the color and overall curb appeal of your driveway, patio, or pool deck.
-
On average, a professional seal job lasts 3–5 years, depending on traffic, sun exposure, and maintenance. We recommend annual clean-and-inspect maintenance to maximize protection and preserve your warranty.
-
We use Trident Cat 5, a premium water-based, two-part urethane sealer that’s ideal for concrete pavers. It’s designed specifically for Florida’s climate — providing deep color enhancement, superior joint stabilization, and resistance to UV, salt, and mold.
➡️ For natural stone surfaces, we use Trident Sea Wall, a penetrating sealer that protects the stone internally without changing its color or sheen. Natural stone requires this type of sealer to maintain breathability and prevent moisture issues.
-
Many companies use solvent-based or acrylic sealers on concrete pavers that look shiny at first but often turn white, peel, or trap moisture in Florida’s humidity.
Our Cat 5 urethane system is water-based, eco-friendly, and specifically formulated for our Florida conditions — providing long-term protection without trapping moisture or fading. We use a penetrating sealer on natural stone surfaces which lasts 5-10 years.
-
We use ASTM C144 joint sand stabilized with Cat 5 sealer, which locks joints in place and still allows proper drainage.
Polymeric sand, on the other hand, often fails in Florida — the humidity and heavy rain cause it to soften, haze, or wash out. -
You can typically walk on it after 24 hours and drive on it after 48–72 hours, depending on weather conditions.
-
No — our sealing process maintains traction. We can also add a grip additive for areas like pool decks or sloped driveways if extra traction is desired.
-
Absolutely. Every job starts with a thorough and professional surface clean using commercial-grade equipment and multiple cleaners. This removes mold, algae, oil, and efflorescence to ensure the sealer bonds properly and evenly.
-
We can often strip and restore pavers that were sealed improperly. During your quote, we’ll evaluate the surface to determine the best process to bring your pavers back to life.
